The circular shape of the roof construction corresponds with the existing Museum of Natural History so that an architectural dialogue of an earth-bound and a ‘floating’ circular volume is created at both ends of the park. The Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric dam that spans the Yangtze River by the town of Sandouping, located in Yiling District,Yichang, Hubei province, China. The Three Gorges Dam is the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity(22,500 MW). In 2012, the amount of electricity the dam generated was similar to the amount generated by the Itaipu Dam.

Saudi Flag Flies High on World’s Tallest Flagpole


JEDDAH — The Bride of the Red Sea will enter the Guinness Book of Records after erecting the world’s tallest flagpole, according to a company involved in the huge project that finished on Wednesday.

 Ibrahim Badawood, managing director of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives (ALJCI), said: “We are not building them for Guinness World Records. We are building them for the nation and for the people of Saudi Arabia.”

He announced the 170-meter high flagpole will be operating officially within one month.
